Protective Coating Systems
Miami Filter’s protective coating systems provide long-term corrosion protection for steel filtration tanks used in demanding commercial and industrial water treatment applications.
Specially formulated for potable water service, our coatings create a durable PVC barrier that completely encapsulates the tank internally and externally, helping protect against corrosion, chemical exposure, and premature equipment deterioration.
NSF accepted and engineered for long service life, our coatings combine the structural strength of heavy steel construction with the corrosion resistance benefits of a fully coated PVC lining system.
The Application Process
The application process is performed entirely in-house at Miami Filter’s Fort Pierce, Florida manufacturing facility to ensure complete quality control throughout production.
Following ASME-compliant sub-arc welding and hydrotesting, tanks are sandblasted to white metal, oven baked to remove all moisture, and coated with a specially formulated primer that is thermally cured for maximum adhesion.
The PVC coatings are then applied internally and externally to a minimum thickness of 40 mils before final curing at 350 degrees, followed by spark testing to verify a continuous, defect-free protective barrier.
